Labor Day
Labor Day has traditionally celebrated the contributions of the American worker. Sadly, this year's Labor Day holiday is observed amid the largest worksite enforcement raids in history. From Postville, Iowa to Laurel, Mississippi, the ICE raids have turned small towns upside down and do not contribute to solving the underlying problem. It is clear that lawful means do not exist for employers to hire willing workers. Our immigration system is in desperate need of repair and we urge Congress and the next Administration to work together to bring sorely needed relief.
